I'm curious to know, what was everyone's first death in Haunting Ground, and how did you react?


I remember I was 14 years old when I got the game. And the first death was actually panic overload for Fiona. Debi got a hold of her and the next thing I hear is... well it sounds like Debi is eating Fiona. Well that scared the tar out of me sooo.... I took the game out of my PS2, turned the PS2 off, hid the game in my closet and gave the PS2 controller to my mom screaming to her "JUST TAKE IT!" since I was to turn in my video-game controllers every Sunday night (She thought I was only playing games and not doing homework...she was so wrong). Well... funny thing was, it was Friday night. >>;; It took me a month to play the game again. XDD


But yes, share your little story about your first death in Haunting Ground, and what were your thoughts and reaction to the whole thing. xD

I don't remember honestly XD I know it probably had to do with the beginning of the game. I just treated it like a regular video game death - get mad then just do it again.

XDDD Most video-game deaths for me are different. Sometimes I get sad, or mad... but this was the first time I got scared. xDD

I'm fifteen years old right now, which means that when the game was released I was about... eleven? Something like that, yes. I played it for the first time when I was eleven. I died by Debilitas' hand. Both of them. It was reaaally scary and not funny AT ALL. I stopped playing HG for like... two months? But I got all my courage together and said "come heere troll!". Oh, boy, I read Harry Potter. I really said that. How shameful.

The first death I remember is the scene with the eyes on the wall. I doubt it was the first one though.

^ Agreed Malice. I do remember walking into that trap but it's been so many years since I first got this game I can't clearly remember what happened when I first died. After the needle trap I wised up and began to be cautious.

The wall of eyes was my second death. XDD

Most of the time Fiona panics too much when I play, which causes me to panic myself. >>;;

Actually I took me a very long playthough to get me killed XD I think I died when riccardo was after me in the water tower. >:3 I am good at games! ♥

Vagina punch? Lorenzo punts people?

....Stepping on the rug that activates the eye pin scene that kills Fiona. >_> I even knew about this one......

I've done something like that once. I read in my book that there was a deaths scene and they're all "save and go walk there anyways" so I did lol

I died more at Debi's hand... >>;;

Daniella was kind to me and rarely showed up. Riccardo was alright, the most he bugged me was three to four times. And Daddy Lorenzo (yes I call him that. xD) Never bugged me. xDD I was laughing the whole time. >>;;

But I did die once during the final boss fight with Lorenzo... well...chase that is. Stupid fiery burning touch, he cheated.

Went on the eye carpet. I knew I would die, but I was curious about the cutscene, hehe.

Daniella's weird like that I'm guessing she either pesters you or she doesn't. I wish Debilitas was like that :/

At the hands of Mr Debilitas I'm afraid! The very first encounter I really didn't know what to do, unfortunately I had the sound off as well, which in retrospect didn't help at all....LOL

I have died when I first meet Debilitas like boss.....

Sadly, Lorenzo, old and young was one of the people who'd leave me alone alot and let me get away. WAAAH!!!

Yeah, I've noticed that. It's either like she wants to chase you around or doesn't. xD

Old Lorenzo is one of the only constant stalkers. Because his chase is active until the boss fight (and that mild moment in between).

Daniella's tricky like that. Another common first death is the checkered floor.

I died first on that Lord of the Flames chase. Stupid statue. -_-*
After that I died on purpose on the second, just to see what happens.
I didn't use a walkthrough until the stone puzzle before the water tower.
I also find the colored doors puzzle easy.
