So I'm intrested to see what XIII-2 will even be about.
Oh definitely, I enjoyed Fang and Vanille greatly, but...let me see if I can convey this right...I believe it would demean their gesture, their whole-hearted sacrifice to save Cocoon and the people. Like, their total selflessness of their act.
However even if Square does do something where they are revived, it definitely wouldn't bother me as I'm one of those people who like happy endings where no one dies (I know I'm lame).
I like Lightning as an independent, stand-alone type character. I don't think she needs to fall into the rut other female characters such as Yuna, Rinoa, Tifa, Aeris in the series had...where they were identified WITH Squall, WITH Tidus, WITH Cloud, With Zack.
She doesn't need to be romantically involved with another character to make her a caring, wholesome, strong person. We saw that when she was caring for Hope, playing the older sister role again, teaching him how to fight and being more patient with him. Plus the romantics were saved for Serah and Snow in 13 and I'd rather it not be a subject we need to explore with Light.
I'm also not a fan of the Bishie, "pretty" long-haired Final Fantasy males that frequent some of the FF games (Sephiroth, Genesis, Seymour). I personally don't like that style of design and I rolled my eyes when I saw that guy in the trailer. Hopefully its just a rivalry as it looks to be in the title art and part of the trailer.
But these are just my impressions from a very small teaser.
I'm not making any final decisions on it other than I'm looking forward to it and am happy we get to at least see Lightning again.
