You know, I have been playing Lufia & The Fortress of Doom lately. I finished it today, and I really really like this game. I played it when I was small, but didn't remember a thing about it. When I was playing it again now, I just realized how I love this games' characters, specially Lufia. I found myself laughing so hard at one special piece of dialogue that happens in Herat, I couldn't keep myself from screening it and opening a thread about the best video gaming moments ever. You can name your own best moment here, and I'll leave my contribution now 8D



The party is composed by the Hero (which I named Lucas, because you know Lucas is a badass name), Lufia (blue-haired girl, which is in love with Lucas because... well, who wouldn't be, if the guy's name is Lucas!?), Agura (green-haired and all-powerful soldier) and Jerin (half-elf who has a crush with -- guess who? LUCAS!). In that part, I just loved Lufia. Could she be any better? Well, maybe if she had a proper hair color, but still!

Best moment as in personal accomplishment? or an epic and grand moment featured in the actual games script?

The best moment there was for you! It can be a personal accomplish, I guess, OR/AND a great moment featured in the actual script. The best moment I showed there, it actually happens in the game, doesn't it? XD

For example, another Best Moment for me was when Tellah died in FFIV. There probably wasn't a better death in any SNES game. (let's be silent for a minute)

Ok, thats a really tough question.
I mean, Zelda Ocarina of Time is still my favourite game of all time.
I get goosebumps when I think of all the experiences I made in Hyrule.
Its full of those special moments.

Persona 3 and 4 are epic too.
Oh my, its so hard. T____T

Shadow Hearts is epic too.

You can make a list of your best moments, you know XD I just thought of making this thread so we could remember the best moments in the games we played, maybe in a somwhat nostalgic way, since I thought mostly of old-school games. After all, there are so many epic moments we could count =.= When Aya fights Eve for the first time, when she's still more Melissa than anything - how can that NOT be epic? 8D

Ahh well I'll post a little one;

Getting past the peppermint stage on the PS2 version of the 'A Series of Unfortunate' game. It is probably the hardest stage in any game I've ever played (and I've played a lot of games). Fuck crabs, cheese, fish and the dirty S.O.B's that throw them at you.

I was ready to rage-quit that fucker but I did it after a few tries and button-mashing.

But for general awesomeness and best moments in my opinion - Assassin's Creed 2 & Brotherhood's introductions. The track 'Ezio's Family' and 2's dialogue really make it a special moment.

Walking out into the Wasteland for the first time in Fallout 3 and overlooking the world AND on random moments looking towards the ruins and seeing the decaying Washington Monument. It gave me chills, especially in the perfect time of day.

Fallout 3 is just full of amazing moments.

Well the,....

1. Zelda Ocarina of Time
This game is full of those moments where I got goosebumps.
Even though the world isnt that big, its full of lovely creatures, wonderful countrysides, beloved characters and breathtaking music.
I played it since I was a child, and I still play it.
This game is pure epicness. (No specific moment)

2. Silent Hill 3
I was actually really scared before I got to play it.
I saw a review in a famous magazine here in germany and I actually thought that this game is REAL horror.
But when I first played it after several years I immediatly fell in love with it. The graphics are one of the best on the ps2 and the story fascinated me until the very last moment.
And Heather is one of the best female characters in game history for me.

My favourite Moment was probably when Heather entered the Lakeside Amusement Park for the first time in real life (she only dreamed about it at the beginning). I felt so lost!

3. Shin Megami Tensei : Persona 3/4

I hate turn-based roleplay games.
I hate them! But these 2 games where the first I felt like it was okay.
I love them so much and they probably have one of the best storys ever.

(Best Moment was all the ones where you can laugh your ass off, because most of the characters are so damm cute and funny)

4. American McGees Alice

just....EPIC

Alice was a great story no doubt but I think for me the best moment had to be the Jabberwocky fight.

The whole game is wonderful but I won't lie. Not all of the story really had me feeling...well anything. It was like reading a book but there were only some parts that had me. The fight was one of those because of how Alice pretty much had a 'break-through' with herself. The dialogue and the music and the whole fight kinda makes kicking his ass worth it.

I actually think that the scene where Alice gets to the Red Queen is more epic. Its such a mindfuck when the Queen starts to put her down.
Its so creepy, especially with the music.

Now your talk about Alice made me remember of Alice in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Man, wasn't that a comfortable game to play...

To those who don't know it... well, it's just some new characters that fall into Alice's story and help her beat the Red Queen. However, that's just the first stage of the game.... you later go to people like Snow White, Hercules, and things like that. 8D

Kingdom Hearts can GTFO. The series should've ended at the second game. That's all I'll say on that though, I could rant about that for a long time.

Here's an epic moment; Just about every slow motion kill in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Also Mileena's 'Be Mine' Fatality, and Noob Saibot's fatality which the name of I do not know.
